We rode out to this amazing beach town in Malaysia. They had a crazy week behind them - wedding registration, days full of celebrating and also birthday celebrations! Our weekend session was a good opportunity for them to visit family and also spend some time away from the people and just to be with each other - in this newlywed bliss. Excited to see what their wedding will be like tho!
Very grateful for Jean & Sean for the trust and openness I experienced with them. We also made a sunrise session on the following day, but about that on another post ;)

One of the first questions I get when meeting my couple, is "And what should I wear to the photoshoot?" Well, I'm glad you asked! I actually love this topic, because choosing an outfit has a huge impact on the photos, aaaand partly cause I just love styling and choosing outfits. What you wear can make or break the result of your engagement or couple photoshoot. So that’s why I decided to write a little article with examples, to make it clear what works in different environments. Getting to the chase quickly: you should choose your outfit based on the environment you’re going to have the photoshoot - how can you stand out or match it? If you don’t read any further, then even with that thought, you can make some conclusions. It comes down to some simple rules to follow, so I’ll bring them out for you. Simple environment vs Busy environmentThat’s basically where I draw the line. Simple environment means usually some open space in the nature: mountains, sand dunes, beaches, large grass fields etc. Anywhere where you can see the horizon and run around, has lots of sky and free space. Indoors that can mean solid coloured walls and/or floor, rooms with very simple designs and similar colours. Home sessions are little bit grey area, cause homes can look totally different - minimalistic or cluttered. So you can look around to make a decision that goes well together (or photographers - ask photos of your clients home before the shoot). Busy spaces are usually streets, but there is a possibility to find a minimalistic spaces (parking lots etc), not minimalistic homes, forest. Simple vs busy
Claire and Zack were my giveaway winners when I was looking for couple in KL, and I was more than excited to do a photoshoot with them AND their two little fur babies Noodle and Pancakes (so many love for those names, lol)! They are the cutest couple, SO easy to photograph and I liked the idea to make the session in their new home, where they just moved in. I love home sessions and since I'll be back in Estonia from December, it's the perfect time to do just that! Cosy knits, tea and your loved one - perfect combo for making beautiful art :)
It's quite a long post, but I think these are worth it <3 Rita found me from Instagram, and I couldn't be more grateful for that. She is an amazing young woman, who has pursued her dreams far away from home, living life as it's fullest being a raw vegan chef, living on a tropical island and learning languages and dancing through it all at the same time. I believe she's also that beautiful girl that no one forgets they met. This whole session was shot in around 1 hour, in 2 locations (apartment terrace and and 1 outfit change. It's all about diversity, after all, it's the spice of life! Contact me for creative portrait sessions, I'm always excited to meet new people and find their glow. xx
Finally getting into posting that photoshoot at George Town, Malaysia with these two! Well most of it is already up in different channels but here's the whole story for you. Aroa and Edgar were so fun loving and easy to go around the town, I think especially cause they spoke in Spanish between each other, probably made jokes about me and that's how I got so many candid shots, ha! Not to mention how photogenic they are! So, I hope you enjoy it and some day come out with me. ;)
Their love started to unveil itself in front of my eyes. This feeling is so special, to witness this, that they let me see what's going on between them... Thank you thank you thank you! I felt the electricity between them and I hope I managed to capture this in a way that you can feel it too. A bit. Cause rest is theirs...
Well, let's say that you don't have to ask twice if you want to bring your pet to the session with me. It adds so much more fun, you are more relaxed when dealing with your pup and that's when I can get those beautiful candid moments :) And if you bring SEVEN... well that's a whole other level. It was very challenging, but also so fun photoshoot, to say the least! Enjoy this story and album. And don't forget to get photos with your loved ones. Yes, your pet :)
Throwback post from autumn! I just love autumn photoshoots in the nature. If it's sunny. And warm. You know, the nice-jacket-and-boots-weather. Luckily in Estonia we sometimes have those beautiful days. Nothing is better than to capture these colours with dear friend and give her something to remember.
Don't you love when you meet beautiful people and then they come in front of your camera and magic happens... Well that just happened when I met Amber in a coffee shop in Ubud, Bali. We talked about how we had bad days and good days. And then made it a very good day and went out for a session that started with best gelato in town, and ended with some tacos and great margaritas... I would say #goals! Travel tip: Best gelato in Ubud is Gaya gelato (trust me, I tried plenty...)
Who loves to wake up at 5AM? Can I see the sea of hands? I thought so. I would hide myself under the table, rip my friends jacket off to get cover and wouldn’t make a sound even if they would tease me with free coffee. But… did you say sunrise hike with potentially good photos and morning light? Okay, I’m in. I am just so stoked about these few, but painfully beautiful views and photos from our sunrise hike to Mt.Tapyas. You just can. not. beat. the. morning. light. Mt.Tapyas is pretty steep hill that basically sits in the Coron town. When you go, plan your time well and consider your fitness level, cause the “hike” is nice with well built stairs, but I mean.. it’s A LOT of stairs (especially for 5AM when your body thinks you’re at sleep… but jokes on you, body). We managed to do it with approx 15min, but we also slept in a little and were in a hurry. So do your planning, sun is not waiting after you. ;)
